In this NBA season, the trade market has been very active throughout this summer and the competition for MVP title is getting tougher day by day. Many players in the NBA are there who have everything at stake and have to prove their worth this NBA season. Some of the Notables are LeBron James and Anthony Davis according to ESPN.
ESPN annual summer forecast has predicted the players who can get MVP award this NBA season. The players who have been named in the list are as follows:
- Giannis Antetokounmpo – Milwaukee Bucks
- LeBron James – Los Angeles Lakers
- Stephen Curry – Golden State Warriors
- Anthony Davis – Los Angeles Lakers
- Kawhi Leonard – LA Clippers
- Joel Embiid – Philadelphia 76ers
- Nikola Jokic – Denver Nuggets
So these were the players which were shortlisted by ESPN’s annual NBA Summer Forecast which includes James and Davis. But Antetokounmpo and Stephen Curry will be having the highest chance of becoming the MVP of the season.
The question is whether the duos can hurt each other when it comes to an award like this. Oftentimes two All-Star players can split the vote as it is unclear who is the real catalyst for a team and that is a real possibility with the Lakers. Both Davis and James are capable of putting up unreal numbers, but unless one pushes for the other in the media, it could easily lead to a split vote.
It will be really interesting to see which player wins the race of being an MVP this NBA season 2019. After so many years this NBA would differ from the other seasons due to the race being cooked up well. Every player would be raring to go and perform for their respective sides this season.
