Norwegian Third Division club has taken giant strides by signing Lionel Messi, the legend of Football. IK Junkeren has signed for this season and they are also looking to get Ronaldo in their team. Their next target is Christanio Ronaldo for this season and makes their team formidable to win the title.
“I’ve had a plan for a while to change my name and I have Lionel Messi as my biggest idol. With my dedication to football, it made sense to try,” the Norwegian Messi told VG.
“I want to say that I try my best to play like him. Some similarities are certainly possible to see, but the talent is probably not as great.
“I have a quite similar ball control and some speed.
“Those who know me from before still use the old first name, while new ones might call me Lionel or Leo.”
Knusten recently changed his name following the footpaths of his Barcelona Idol and the process was fast-tracked and his name got changed quickly and easily. Knusten has shown that to reach the level of Messi it takes time and he says it will be a long journey for sure.
“I joked earlier that we have to look for Cristiano Ronaldo now,” Junkeren general manager Runar Bo Eriksen said.
“We know that there is a Ronaldo in the transfer market who has previously played at Fauske/Sprint, so we know he is out there.”
Messi was suffering from a calf injury and he is now fit to play the first game of the season for his new club and they will be hopeful of Messi that he leads the team from the front and help them to win the title this season for sure.
It remains to be seen whether their approach of bidding on Ronaldo will get completed or not but if it happens they will have a powerhouse of the football game in their team only.
