The USA basketball team is back on track with win over Canada after the unfortunate loss against Australia which came as first in 13 years. But after two days they were clinical with their performance against Canada and they won the game by a margin of 84-68 in the warm-up game.
Jaylen Brown, Donovan Mitchell, Kemba Walker and Myles Turner were best performing players of the match where they scored 19 points, 12 points, 12 points and 10 points respectively. They led the USA basketball team to victory against Canada yesterday.
Kyle Wiltjer was highest scoring player of the match and Candian team with 21 points in the game. Khem Birch the only player of Canada to play NBA scored 13 points and 6 rebounds.
Injured player of Canada basketball team was back in the court for their last warm-up game on the Australian soil. Both Andrew Nembhard and Kaza Kajami were suffering from injuries which could have proved fatal for the team but they have returned back on the court which would relieve the Canadian basketball team management.
Update on Kuzma’s Injury
Kuzma has been ruled out of the exhibition games and for the whole FIBA World Cup 2019 due to the ankle injury which sustained while playing an exhibition match. This means the USA basketball team will be playing the World Cup without the services of Kuzma and the team management is disappointed with the unfortunate incident.
Kuzma has been sent back to his home town to get fit for the NBA season 2019 and he will not be featuring in the World Cup matches. With this news, Americans have finalised their 12-man squad for the World Cup games and they will be travelling to China to play the league matches and warm-up games before that.
Coach in the press conference said that they were very disappointed with Kuzma’s injury but he believes his injury will heal quickly and look forward him to play in the NBA season 2019.
