The Indian Cricket team is nearing to play the first test match against West Indies on 22nd August which happen to be the first match of Test Championship for both the teams. Indian Cricket team has tough questions to answer before the start of the first test match.
Indian Cricket Team management has a job in hand to pick two spinners for the first game out of three. It will be tough for them as all of them are of high quality so realistically it is going to be a herculean task for the management to opt two spinners out of the lot as the team composition wouldn’t allow the team to play all three spinners.
Indian Test squad consist of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav as three specialist spinners. All of them are of a different variety off-break,left-arm spinner and chinaman respectively. And this trio is going to pose a happy headache to Indian Cricket Team management to pick out their best spinners of the lot.
Jadeja may have the upper hand
Ravindra Jadeja in recent time has increased the standards of his game and has a realistic possibility that he will be a sure starter in the first game. He gives the Indian lower order more stability and scores some extra runs for the team, as in recent time he has been consistent with scoring runs which makes him ahead in the race of selection. He also gives that much-needed balance to the Indian Cricket Team’s composition.
Kuldeep Yadav in his last outing took a fifer at Sydney against Australians. He poses a great threat to the selection of Ravi Ashwin as Kuldeep is having an X-factor in him being a chinaman. It is now up to Virat Kohli that whom he chooses on the eve of the first match in the playing eleven.
