Mike Hesson and Tom Moody were just next to Ravi Shastri in terms of selection but having a good bond with this current team endured the selectors of Cricket Advisory Committee to Ravi Shastri as a head coach once again.
Ravi Shastri was one of the applicants who applied for the coach of the Indian team. The other players who applied for the coach position were Lalchand Rajput, Robin Singh, Tom Moody, Mike Hesson and Phil Simmons.
All of the applicants were marked out of 100 points on the basis of the presentations given by them during the interview. Where Ravi Shastri came first, Mike Hesson Second and Tom Moody at third place. Different factors were considered while selection of coaches like the experience of coaching, Achievements in coaching and their mindsets.
The interviews were taken on 16th August by Cricket Advisory Committee. It was more than expected that Ravi Shastri will be appointed as Head coach once again. As he shares a good bond with the Indian Captain and Indian Captain Virat Kohli was in full praise of Ravi Shastri. He also told while addressing media that Indian dressing room will be more than happy to welcome Ravi Shastri as a head coach once again.
With Ravi Shastri’s appointment as head coach once again it remains to be seen that who will be the other coaches for Batting, Fielding, Bowling and other support staff will be appointed.
We expect Bharat Arun to be appointed as Bowling coach once again as he is a better option than Zaheer Khan in eyes of Ravi Shastri. Now Ravi Shastri has to prove his appointment with a win in World T-20 coming up in Australia in 2020.
