Last night we witnessed a fascinating game of football and there were many hits and flops during the course of the game. Manchester United let slip the golden opportunity from their hands of winning their first game of the season against Wolverhampton and put the points on the table. But fate had other options for Manchester United.
Manchester United started off with great effort and Anthony Martial helped his team to open the goal account with his left foot. The left-footed strike made by Anthony was a brilliant one and very early in the game, Manchester United took the lead of 1-0.
Ruben Neves made a tremendous effort from outside the box and scored an equalizer to bring back his side Wolverhampton in the game. Manchester United still had a chance to get their first win of the season when Paul Pogba earned a penalty. But fate had other options and unluckily Paul Pogba couldn’t convert the penalty into the second goal of the game for Manchester United.
The two Talking points of the Game
1. Anthony Martial as a striker
Anthony Martial has lived up to the expectations of Manchester United after the loss of Romelu Lukaku. He has enjoyed a tremendous season for United as a striker and has lead the team from the front.
The movements of Anthony Martial has been prolific this season and he is showing his skills better than ever. He also reached the milestone of 50 goals for the Manchester United Club. Being a 23-year player he has a lot to offer the football to his team.
2. Ruben Neves – a player everyone wants.
Manchester United during the game against Wolverhampton was not able to create enough opportunities for them to score a goal as their midfield department is weak this season with respect to other teams.
Ruben Neves showed why midfielder is a necessity for a team. He played really well as a midfielder for his team and used his ability to block the shots by strong players. In the second half, he showed his class by scoring the goal from outside the box.
