The USA basketball team has set their pre-World Cup campaign on fire by embarrassing Australian Boomers in their first warm-up game against Australia in Australia. Before that, they won both of the warm-up games they played in the USA. The USA basketball team looks formidable for the FIBA World Cup 2019.
In the third quarter, the USA basketball team accumulated 31 points and they won the game by 102-86 in Melbourne against Australia. The Australian basketball team and the USA basketball team will again play against each other on Saturday at Marvel Stadium.
Kyle Kuzma scored three three-pointers in the first quarter only as USA basketball team remained ahead in the game. Again in the second quarter, Jayson Tatum scored two consecutive three-pointers and USA made scoreline 39-28.
While going into the half Patty Mills and Chris Gouldings the Australian basketball team’s mainstay helped the Australian Basketball team to reduce the lead taken by the USA and finished the first half at 44-43.
Aron Baynes was the hero of the Australian team in the second half as he scored points for them and for the first time in the whole game they were ahead of the USA. But the USA fought back and took 10 points on the trot to stretch the lead to 54-45.
After that, it was all USA basketball team’s show and they continued to dominate the game. Just after a few minutes of the last quarter, it was all formalities that were needed to be done as the USA took the lead by a fair margin. And eventually, the USA ended up with 102-86 points in the game.
The USA basketball team has been in red hot form in the three exhibition games and it will be a major boost for the depleted USA team just before the FIBA World Cup in China. The only thing which remains to be seen whether they can continue their red hot form in the World Cup or not.
