Ambati Rayudu who recently announced his retirement from all forms of cricket after he was ignored from the Indian World Cup Squad is yet again in the headlines. He showed the interest of comeback in Indian Cricket Team while talking to media.

During the ICC World Cup 2019, Rayudu was surprised when the replacement for injured Shikhar Dhawan and Vijay Shankar was named as Rishabh Pant and Mayank Aggarwal instead of him in the Indian Squad.

Rayudu while taking to media hinted that he is pretty much looking forward to playing for the Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2020. Currently, he is in TNCA League for Grand Slams and he claims once he will be fully fit he will start playing the matches.

Rayudu for Indian Cricket team has played 55 One Day Internationals and scored 1694 runs at an average of 47.05. He was in consideration in the team as No.4 spot as said by Virat Kohli in the press conference but it didn’t happen to be.

Rayudu came up with the hilarious tweet when Vijay Shankar was not selected in the team instead of him.

Rayudu during the interview was confused whether he wants to play for Indian Team again or not but he didn’t give a conclusive statement and it makes clear he may be considering a return into the side if he performs well in the Indian Premier League 2020 for the T-20 World Cup.

It will be interesting to see the approach of Ambati Rayudu regarding his selection and how much efforts he puts up to be fit for playing the game. Whether he will be back in touch or not considering his outings in the last IPL season which made him vulnerable for the selection in World Cup Team.
