New Zealand announced 12-man squad for FIBA World Cup

New Zealand Basketball team announced the twelve-man squad for the FIBA World Cup 2019 tournament. New Zealand has been put into Group F where they are set to play against Greece, Brazil and Montenegro.

Blackcaps head coach Paul Henare said that he has selected the squad for FIBA World Cup keeping in mind about the experience and balance of the team. It remains to be seen whether the selected players will repay the faith shown in them or not.

The players who have been selected for the FIBA World Cup 2019 basketball team are as follows:

Tom Abercrombie, Jarrod Kenny, Ethan Rustbatch, Finn Delany, Rob Loe, Tohi Smith-Milner, Isaac Fotu, Jordan Ngatai, Corey Webster, Shea Ili, Alex Pledger, Tai Webster

Poland pips Netherlands in Warm-up Game

Poland has won their first warm-up game against Netherland Basketball team. They are going to play three more warm-up games before the FIBA World Cup 2019 against Montenegro, Iran and Nigeria.

Poland won the games against the Netherlands by 77-71 in the game before going to China for the FIBA World Cup. A.J Slaughter and Ponitka got 13 points for the Poland team and Damian Kulig scored 11 points and some 10 rebounds on the day.

Netherlands Yannick Franke scored 16 points and Kloof 13 points for their team and eventually, it leads to loss of Netherlands against Poland.
